Places Your Family Can Visit This Christmas in Orlando

By Je’Kayla Crawford, Florida, 13 years old

Feeling empty on Christmas spirit? Need to get your cousins off the couch and looking at the holiday lights? Well you’re in luck! Here are 3 places you and your family can explore this Christmas in Orlando Florida.

#1 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

Everyone’s been to Walt Disney World, right? Well, if you went during this Christmas year, you wouldn’t recognize it! That’s right, Mickey’s Christmas Party has taken over Disney World. This year at Magic Kingdom, you can enjoy the party activities like the annual Christmas parade, and the magical hot chocolate. And, the best part in my opinion, is that is you buy your tickets now, they only cost $99. And, trust me, that’s a bargain for Disney World. So, who wants to celebrate Christmas at the happiest place on Earth? I do!

#2 Hogwarts Christmas Show

Have you watched all of the Harry Potter books? Or movies? Well I have and I couldn’t tell you have happy I was when this event began. Only 15 minutes away from Disney World, is Universal Studios. More specifically, Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This Christmas, they are going all out in the wizarding world. There will be Christmas-themed music wherever you go, and not to mention the delicious butterbeer at your disposal. Also, there will be a light show project on the castle at night!

#3 Christmas Trees at Disney Springs

I know what you’re thinking: “They are just going to be regular Christmas trees.” But there is nothing normal about them. The holiday trees inside of Disney springs (Near the Disney Store) are Disney Character themed! There is a tree decorated for every classic movie like Mulan and Princess in the Frog. Also, they designed newer ones as well like a Frozen and Muppets themed one.
