Cook Time with Remmi – December 2015

Hi Amazing Kids! During this holiday season you will find sweet potatoes being readily available and in high demand. Because of this, I have a dish that will go well with every meal or even as a snack! Not only do they taste good, but they’re really good for you too. Enjoy!

Sweet Potato Fries with Lemony Yogurt Dipping Sauce


  • Olive Oil
  • Yogurt
  • Cooking Spray
  • Garlic
  • Lemon Juice
  • Parsley
  • Sweet Potato
  • Chives
  • Salt and Pepper

Pull out a baking sheet.


  1. Preheat an oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Coat your baking sheet lightly with the cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  3. Peel the sweet potatoes. Cut them in half. Cut each half into 6 wedges. Put in cold water.
  4. Place sweet potatoes evenly on baking sheet.
  5. Brush some olive oil on the sweet potatoes. This will get them a little crispier. Turn the sweet potatoes to get an even coat of oil on each side.
  6. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  7. While using oven mitts, put the baking sheet with the sweet potatoes in the oven for 30 minutes in the top ¼ of the oven.
  8. For the Lemony Dipping Sauce, mix in a mixing bowl the yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, parsley, and chives. Sprinkle with a little salt and pepper. Blend.
  9. Display the sweet potatoes nicely on a plate with the yogurt dip on the side. Sprinkle with parsley and serve.
