Bowtie Lasagna and Garlic

(serves 4)

  • About 1 pound Ground Beef
  • Parmesan Cheese
  • Mozzarella Cheese
  • Cottage Cheese
  • 1 Can of Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 jar Marinara Sauce
  • Olive Oil
  • Parsley
  • Onion
  • Fresh Basil
  • Garlic
  • 1 Egg
  • Bowtie Pasta
  • Salt and Pepper

  1. Grab a sauté pan and large mixing bowl.
  2. Place a splash of olive oil in a sauté pan and gently sauté chopped garlic and onion in the pan for a few minutes.
  3. Add the beef and continue to sauté until brown.
  4. In a bowl, mix thoroughly the cottage cheese with an egg, the parsley, and some mozzarella.
  5. Once the meat has turned brown in the sauté pan, add the diced tomatoes, the marinara sauce, basil, salt and pepper and bring the temperature down to simmer. Blend all ingredients and let simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Cook bow tie pasta according to directions and drain.
  7. Place bow tie pasta into a large baking dish and distribute evenly.
  8. After the sauce mixture has finished simmering, pour over the pasta evenly.
  9. Add the cheese mixture onto the top.
  10. Cover with a sprinkle of mozzarella.
  11. Cover with foil.
  12. Bake in the oven for 375 degrees for about 30 minutes. For the last 10 minutes, take the foil off to complete the cooking.

Remember: Always have adult supervision when using hot appliances like a stove or an oven!
