Hi Amazing Kids! I would like to share a dish I love—Pear Salsa. As a new school year unfolds, I hope you will consider this easy-to-make recipe a refreshing afterschool snack. Besides tasting good, pears are good for you; in fact, pears are low in calories, contain no saturated fats or cholesterol, and are full of vitamins and minerals. Enjoy this healthy treat!

Pear Salsa
Ingredients:
- Tortilla Chips
- Orange Juice
- Green Bell Pepper
- Parsley
- Pears
- Onion
- Lime Juice
- Yellow Bell Pepper
- Jalapeno
- Cucumber
- Oil
- Salt
- Pepper
Directions:
- In a bowl, combine pears, cucumber, onion, green bell pepper, yellow bell pepper, jalapeno, salt, and pepper.
- Mix the ingredients in the bowl together.
- In a separate bowl for the sauce, combine lime juice, oil, and orange juice.
- Mix the sauce, and drizzle it over the rest of the ingredients right before serving.
- Stir until fruits and vegetables are coated in sauce.
- Pour a spoonful of the salsa into a serving bowl.
- Garnish with parsley, and serve with tortilla chips.
