Hi, Amazing Kids! I hope you enjoy this recipe for Beet Salad with Apples—a delicious idea for an after-school snack. I love combining the subtle flavor of beets with sweet, crunchy apples to create a dish kids devour. And did you know that in addition to their amazing taste, beets are full of vitamins and minerals? Beet Salad with Apples
Ingredients:
- Parsley
- Apple
- Onion
- Parmesan
- Beets
- Romaine
- White Vinegar
- Lite Oil
- Salt
- Pepper
Directions:
- Place washed and trimmed beets on top of tinfoil.
- Pour olive oil over beets.
- Add salt and pepper.
- Wrap beets in tinfoil. Place in oven at 375 degrees for 45 minutes.
- Cut up cooked beets.
- Place romaine on plate. Use tongs to add the beets to this salad.
- Add apples, onions, salt, and pepper to the salad plate.
- In a bowl, make dressing by stirring together white vinegar and lite oil.
- Pour dressing over salad right before serving.
- Garnish with parsley and parmesan.
