Word Booster: Changing the World

If you resolve to be the best person you can be, then your kindness will change the world! Never let yourself be discouraged from helping someone else should the opportunity arise. Changing the world for the better can be as simple as helping someone carry groceries or holding the door open for another person. A good deed generates positivity and inspires more acts of kindness in its wake, so by performing one act of kindness, you can never know how many people you helped. Such a simple way of improving the world is often overlooked, but very important. Here are some words to inspire you to improve the world, one good deed at a time!

Brotherhood: (noun) feelings of friendship, support, and understanding between people
A great brotherhood formed amongst the students mutually preparing for the difficult test. 

Exceptional: (adj) Better than average; superior
Mr. Lo always compelled himself to be an exceptional role model for all of his students.

Refine: (verb) to improve (something) by making small changes
The school cafeteria refined their menu so that more students could be satisfied with their lunches.

Rehabilitate: (verb) to bring (someone or something) back to a good condition
Pauline greatly valued her time rehabilitating injured animals at a wildlife center near her home.  

Restore: (verb) to put back into use or service
They all worked together to restore the town after the hurricane struck.

Significant: (adj) very important
A significant part of Jeremiah’s life was his devotion to community service.
