Word Booster – Memories that Matter

Remember the time you aced that quiz? Or the time you laughed so hard you cried? When was the happiest day of your life? This month at Amazing Kids! We’re celebration the memories that matter. Here is a list of words you might use when remembering the good ‘ol days.

Bliss: (noun) Perfect happiness, great joy
He sighed in bliss, remembering the moment

Nostalgia: (noun) A sentimental longing for the past, typically for a period or place with happy associations
She felt a surge of nostalgia looking through her old yearbook

Recall: (verb) To bring back to memory
He could vaguely recall the time he was taken to the hospital

Recollection: (noun) A thing recollected, a memory
She held a journal full of her recollections

Rejoice: (verb) To feel great joy
She rejoiced after hearing that she won the competition

Remembrance: (noun) The action of remembering something
A flash of remembrance passed through him, as if he had been there once

Reminiscence: (noun) A story told about a past event remembered by the narrator
She told him of her reminiscences of her days in college
