Amazing Kids! Magazine

February 2012: Issue #54 – “Stories from the Past”

Hello Amazing Kids!

Welcome to the 54th issue of Amazing Kids! Magazine. It’s just the beginning of the new year but it’s also important to not forget the past. This February’s theme is Generations-Stories from the Past. As we move forward, in 2012 we try to improve our selves but much can be learned from history. Our ancestors have created great influences on our life. They have defined and molded us and it’s important to remember their profound effects. In the nonfiction section, there are inspirational interviews with Macklemore (singer and dancer) and Jeff Sutphen (producer and game show host). Ever wondered about your family tree? Learn how to discover extensive knowledge from the article “Making Your Family History Come Alive by Making a Family Tree.” Also, check out the mysterious fiction story “La La Land.” There is always amazing and emotional poetry such as “Moving On.” Our Amazing Kids! Staff and writers have also travelled the world to South Africa and even experienced local youth movements. Have a laugh, cook a new recipe, learn new words or read about a new movie in our Amazing Kids! Columns. As always, there is great art and a new Amazing Kid of the Month!

See our contest page for details on current and future contests. Be sure to sign up for our free Amazing Kids! eNews, so that you can receive updates at:  http://-kids.kintera.org/AKeNews.

As always, you are welcome to send your kid-friendly writing or artistic contributions to editor@amazing-kids.org. Don’t forget to review the Submission Guidelines in the “Write for Us” section.

Enjoy your school year and happy writing!
