Amazing Kids! Magazine

July/August Issue 2019: Issue #131 – Be the Spark

Hi Amazing Kids!

This month’s theme is Be the Spark, which has two meanings: fireworks as we approach the Fourth of July and igniting change in our communities.  Our Amazing Kids writers found creative ways to include this theme in their stories.  This month’s AKOM Max Bobholz saw kids playing baseball in Africa didn’t have the necessary equipment, so he took it upon himself to collect equipment and donate it to them.  Check our monthly Staff Q&A to read what our editors have to say about this month’s theme.

Remember that Amazing Kids is always accepting submissions from student writers. Remember to look on our page for writer’s guidelines and follow them before submitting your article or your story will not be considered.

To become even more involved with Amazing Kids, we encourage you to apply for one of our full-time positions.  Current open positions include Writer’s Tips and Word Booster Editor, LOL Column Editor, Contest Coordinator, Movie Reviews Editor, and Contributing Writer.  Please email me at editor@amazing-kids.org.  To apply, you must submit a resume about your writing experience and three pieces of your writing.

Our monthly theme, Be the Spark, reminds us to spark change in our communities.

Dream big!
