Amazing Kids! Magazine

March 2011: Issue #45 – “City of the Future!”

Hi Amazing Kids!

Welcome to the March 2011 issue of the Amazing Kids! Magazine: “City of the Future!,” Issue #45. We’ve allowed our imaginations to soar in this issue with everything about making our city of the future better. You will find articles on smart houses, different types of energy, robots and a career for the future in our Non-Fiction section. You’ll be taken on an African safari in our Fiction section, along with other fantastic stories that will inspire, motivate and teach important lessons. We’ve completed this journey to the future with an interesting interview with Bob Johnson, an engineer who encourages kids to envision what the city of the future might look like and a conversation with architect Lane William, who is helping to build innovative and cutting-edge “smart” homes. Check out these interesting discussions about designing and building things in the Amazing Mentor! Spotlight Interviews section under “Nonfiction.”

Of course, this issue wouldn’t be complete without the absolutely fabulous art showcased in our Amazing Artists column and beautiful poetry included in our Poetry column. Get a good laugh with our L.O.L. Humor column or pick out a good book in our Book review section. You can even help support Amazing Kids!’ programs by purchasing a book or product through our store: or our store:

If you haven’t yet participated in our Amazing Kids! Contests, we invite you to do so! We host fun, creative and challenging contests throughout the year. We’ve just wrapped up two contests: our Healthy Kids! Recipe Contest and our Amazing Kids! Perrific Oscar® Picks Contest. Be sure to check the contest page for the announcement of the winners of the Oscar Picks contest in early March, and our Healthy Kids! Recipe Contest later in the month. The kids who accurately predicted the winner of the Oscar® for the Best Animated Feature of 2010 will be entered into a drawing to receive one of 20 DVDs of one of the top 3 animated feature films! For the recipe contest, we’re excited to announce that the winning recipes will be featured in the first-ever healthy kids’ e-cookbook created by and for kids! Copies will be available for purchase online, and proceeds will help support Amazing Kids!’ Launch My Dream! initiative as well as Juvenile Diabetes research, so stay tuned!
