March Issue 2019: Issue #127 – Overcoming Obstacles

Hi Amazing Kids!

 

This month’s theme is Overcoming Obstacles.  In our nonfiction column, one writer shares her personal struggling with moving homes in “Changing Direction” and another writes about how her nerves while swimming in “The Last Race.”  In both stories, the authors stayed strong and managed that overcome those obstacles.

Remember that Amazing Kids is always accepting submissions from student writers.  We encourage you to particular submit work that follows our following themes, which are Rainbow in the Sky, Sharing is Caring, and Shine Bright.  Remember to look on our page for writer’s guidelines and follow them before submitting your article.  Just a reminder: our articles are for kids, so keep your submissions kid-friendly.

To become even more involved with Amazing Kids, we encourage you to apply for one of our full-time positions.  Current open positions include Writer’s Tips and Word Booster Editor, LOL Column Editor, Contest Coordinator, Movie Reviews Editor, and Contributing Writer.  Please email me at editor@amazing-kids.org.  To apply, you must submit a resume about your writing experience and three pieces of your writing.  If you are applying for roles such as Contest Coordinator and Movie Reviews Editor, it’s also expected that you have experience relevant to your position, which you should mention in your email.

No matter how difficult the obstacle seems, keep your head up high and stay strong!
