Amazing Kids! Magazine

November 2011: Issue #52 – “Wacky Weather”

Hello Amazing Kids!

Thanks to all of our readers for your continued support!  We are pleased to present our 52th issue of the Amazing Kids! Magazine, “Wacky Weather.”  The winter holiday season has begun here in the United States (one of our favorite times of the year!) and so has the change in weather. In the Northern Hemisphere, it is getting cooler and winter is approaching.  In the Southern Hemisphere, things are warming up as it is almost summer.

In fact, all across the world there is an amazing diversity in climate, as there are countless different climate “zones.”  But the weather isn’t always completely predictable and from time to time, strange weather-related phenomenons can and do occur.  And so, this issue of the Amazing Kids! Magazine is dedicated to all the “Wacky Weather” our Earth experiences. In our nonfiction section, Karen McDonald, spokesperson for the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center, shares her knowledge on the climate and its effect on our coastal environment. In the fiction section, there are exciting short stories such as “The Fiery Blue Balls” and descriptive poetry like “Whispers of a Waterfall.” Travel around the world to diverse climate zones and read about Niagara Falls, Ontario and even Turkey! Got science?  Be sure to read our great SciTech Kids column.  Love writing?  Improve your writing skills by reading our monthly Writer’s Tips column. Finally, art, cooking and comedy fans will love our latest kid-created amazing art, yummy recipes by Remmi in our Cook Nook section, and our Laugh Out Loud jokes column too!
