Amazing Kids! Magazine

October Issue 2018: Issue #123 – Changing the World

Hi Amazing Kids!

This month’s theme is Changing the World, and encourages all our readers to work towards making a difference in others’ lives.  Whether you change the world or change the world for somebody, it can have a huge impact. Our Amazing Mentor, Christopher McGilvery, is a prime example of someone who’s changing the world.  He started the organization Give More HUGS, which focuses on providing children the tools they need to succeed in the classroom.  As back-to-school season is in full swing, it’s important to think of the kids who may not be able to have the resources as you and how to help them.  Additionally, our Word Booster this month features different terms that relate to making a difference in our community.

If you’d like your work to be featured in Amazing Kids! Magazine as well, we are always open to submissions.  We advise that you work on submissions that feature one of Amazing Kids’ future themes, which are: Changing the World, Finding Joy in Small Things, and Holiday Cheer.  Additionally, AK Adventures/Global Village column submissions are highly encouraged.  Before submitting, look at our Writer’s Guidelines.

And if you want to be even more involved in Amazing Kids, we have several column positions open right now.  Our current open positions are: Humor/LOL Editor, Contest Coordinator, Movie Reviews Editor, and Contributing Writer.  As for individual entries, column editor submissions should be emailed to editor@amazing-kids.org.  When you are submitting for a column editor position, please attach 3 pieces of your work that relate the position you are applying for and a resume.

This month, work on trying to make a difference in someone’s life, whether that be an individual or a larger community.  Every small step counts!

Dream big!
