“You don’t know what
you’ve got till it’s
gone.”
Cliché?
Maybe.
But it’s true
when the shiny,
silver bag
coated with salt
looks back at you.
Tipped upside down,
crumbs fall freely
to the floor.
A growling stomach
looks forlorn.
The happiness has
faded.
Finishing the “course”, well,
it’s not always
what it seems.
With this type of
completing
the body only wants more.
