Fear is the feeling,
That keeps you up at night.

The creeping footsteps,
Sneaking closer.

It comes to you,
When you wish it wasn’t there.

It does not cower at your words,
Like you do to theirs.

It does not cower at the sight of you,
Unlike you to them.

They aren’t scared of you,
Like you are frightened of them.

They creep closer to you,
Ignore your cries…

Our fears are different,
But the feelings still alike. Overwhelming.

The darkness they bring,
The sunlight they toss away.

The feeling you get,
Is called fear.
