A great, beautiful star outshining others,
A candle that burns itself to give me light,
You have saved me from this dark, perilous world:
I love you—my mother.
A golden ingot in a heap of stone,
A sweet rose that is more precious than diamonds,
My own Eden on this islet of earth.
I do not need
Anything in life but you:
I love you—my mother.
