Labor

By Sehen Gamhewa, age 10, Kuwait

In the morning I watch, a scene
From the window, that I see again at noon
I wonder and ponder about the man I see
He’s there every day, all the time but never in the night
In surprise it dawned on me that he is a labor
A hard working labor who works all day
He works with all his might at the construction site
He sweats and sweats in the heat of the sun
As he works all the time, with his face very red
I feel sympathy for him as he has stress upon him
I can’t do anything for the poor soul
But until my mind thinks of a way
For these poor working labors
I’ll be powerless which is not good for them
After my mind refreshes me with an idea
I’ll help them in the way to the best I can
