I wake up in the morning
When the fog lifts, and I can see light
Or when I hear crickets chirp;
The crickets have been chirping all night.

I might wake up when I hear
Someone who has woken up before;
People get out of their beds,
And I hear them open up the door.

I hear farmers drive planters;
I hear the planters’ melodic rhymes,
Going to plant this year’s crop
Or from the trees, I hear the wind chimes.

I hear birds chirp on branches
Of the maple trees until they fly.
I wake up when I hear cars;
It is early, but they still go by.
