I once saw a star, burning beautifully blue,
A sparkling curiosity, hidden well from view.
I stared at it, enamored, and very unarmed,
At this celestial beauty, and its somewhat human charm.

Conspicuous, and visible, shone its individual glare,
A glitter that seemed, beguiling and rare.
Nevertheless, among the skies, it veiled its brilliant face,
It existed as a tiny speck: thoughtless there in space.
What was it in this very star that quickly caught my eyes?
I found a bit of you up there, twinkling in disguise.
