The Saga: An Everlasting Beauty

By Hamzah Faisal, age 12, New Jersey

Indeed, there are thorns in a saga.
Jealous of the honor, the hopes and dreams,
Long to destruct the beauty of the saga.
Their attempts are useless—
The saga is an everlasting beauty.

When I excel,
I will be so far,
So distant in rank, so high.
There will I stand
In the light of hope and faith
Of this ignorant world.

Indeed, there are haters in the world,
Jealous of my hopes and dreams and
Desiring to poison them.
Yes, I will kill the whispers of the haters in this world
And create the saga—an everlasting beauty.
