A snow angel sang in my heart;
The holiday spirit grabbed me.
Crystals appeared when sunlight hit snow,
And for once sparks flew gracefully.
I caught snowflakes on my tongue
And gazed at ice-covered trees;
I breathed out frozen air
And shivered in the damp breeze.
Icicles hung on the barn
Like the teeth of a comb;
I settled into my warm house
And felt the comfort of home.
I sipped on delicate hot chocolate;
My heart warmed in the steam.
In winter I’m not afraid to hope;
Every Christmas the world is a dream.
