AK: You’ve appeared in a number of commercials. Which commercials were your favorite ones and why? Did you have trouble filming any of them? Were you ever nervous?

OS: Commercials were the first thing I did when I got into the business! I love them because you get to see so many different sets and meet so many different people. I feel so grateful for all the commercials I have done so far. But the ones that stand out the most are the Ford and Dairy Queen commercials. The Dairy Queen commercial challenged me in a new way that was scary but exciting. I had to ride fast on a bike, skid, and land a few inches away from the camera. I was so nervous that I was going to crash. Luckily, I didn’t hit the camera!

AK: You also appeared on Annie, Anastasia, and more shows.  Can you tell us about your favorite one and why you liked it the best?

OS: I love musical theater so much! It sparked my interest in acting and I have made the best memories doing it! Playing Annie in Annie was my favorite role because it had been a dream of mine since I was 2 years old. When I received the news that I would be playing her, I was speechless! It was an opportunity I will remember forever! I hope to someday make it to the Broadway stage!

AK: You are best known for your role as Kelly Quinn on Amazon Prime show Just Add Magic. What were your favorite parts about the show and your character? What made the experience memorable to you?

OS: My favorite part about Just Add Magic is that I love being on a show that families can bond over, get excited about and watch together. It’s a family-friendly show but also very mysterious. I also love that it touches on relationships not talked about often enough on TV. For example, the relationship between Kelly Quinn and her grandmother is so strong and sweet. Also, the bond between Kelly and her two best friends is unbreakable, no matter what craziness the magic cookbook throws at them. This was my first experience working on the same project for such a long time. It truly is amazing because of the huge family it creates amongst the cast and crew. I’m so grateful for this experience! I can’t wait for fans to see Season 2 that will be released this month, January 2017!

AK: You donate to Cookies for Kids’ Cancer.  Can you explain more about the organization and how you help in it?

OS: Cookie for Kids Cancer is an amazing nonprofit foundation that raises funds for research for pediatric cancer. Children have a huge place in my heart and I want to do whatever I can to help kids in this terrible position. You would be shocked to hear the extremely low percentage of funding for cancer that goes into research for childhood cancer. We are working to raise that percentage immensely and find a cure! Everyone can help out by hosting your own bake sale and donating the proceeds. An even simpler option is ordering cookies off their website.  Something that simple can make a huge difference. Please visit their website and see how you can make a difference.

AK: What are your goals for the future – both professionally and personally?

OS: I am currently filming season 2 of Just Add Magic and I can’t wait for it to come out in January! I love being on a family friendly television show, but I hope to move on to a feature film after this. I would love to do some heavy drama work! I hope to become a role model that girls can look up to! I love to sing and play piano, which I hope when my days free up a bit I can get back into.

AK: What advice would you give to our readers about following their dreams and making a difference?

OS: If you have a dream in your heart, never give up on it. Remember to treat everyone with kindness, work hard, and be humble! If you do that, you will succeed in whatever you do!

AK: Is there anything else you would like to add?

OS: I would love to say thank you to all my supportive fans out there. Also if you want to get a closer look at my journey, you can follow me on social media. I am on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter & Youtube (@OliviaSanabia).
