Milo Speck is a small boy who discovers a world of ogres and dinosaur-sized turkeys one day when a magic sock wraps around his arm in the clothes dryer. Soon Milo find out that instead of working for a fencing company, his father works for a spy agency.

He meets his father’s boss, Tuck, and goes around saving kids from being eaten by ogres. In the process he finds out that his father has been possessed by a turkey. After Milo and Tuck, who is a girl with a ton of freckles and red hair, de-possess Milo’s dad, the three of them defend kids from the ogres. Then he finds that a body guard of the boss, named Lyndon, becomes an ogre king.

Finally, Milo and his dad and Tuck escape back through the clothes dryer to reality. As Milo conquers the ogres and battles Lyndon, he discovers that size doesn’t matter.

I liked this book because it had thrilling events that stopped me from putting down the book. My favorite part of the book was when Milo rescued Tuck from a clothing hamper by remembering how to get out of finger hand cuffs. I suggest this to ages 6 and up who love adventures.
