Do you have a musical talent?

Sean (Editor-in-Chief) I haven’t learned to play any instruments but I do sing. I usually don’t share my singing with anyone, but when I perform in musicals I sometimes have a singing role. I absolutely love listening to music on my iPod too.

Olivia (Assistant Editor) Yes, I’ve been playing piano for 13 years. I’ve played pieces from many genres, including classical, jazz, and modern, however, my preference is classical. I’m currently learning the third movement of Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata, and I just finished learning a Brahms Intermezzo.

Natalie (Jr. Assistant Editor) I do have a musical talent; I play the trumpet, piano, sing, and I am learning the flute with my cousin.

Tanmaya (LOL Editor) I truly love music. It is indeed the universal language of mankind. I have learned classical Indian ‘carnatic’ music which have notes (Sa, Re, Ga, Ma, Pa, Da, Ni, Sa) quite similar to Do, Re, Mi, Fa, So, La, Ti, Do for 3 years. I love playing the congas as well and listening to music. Whenever I am free or have to go out somewhere, I slip my iPod into my pocket and enjoy the heavenly songs. It soothes the mind! I even have an interest in learning to play the guitar; I hope I’ll learn it someday too!

Ioana (Amazing Artists! Editor) Although I don’t play any musical instruments, I love to listen to music of all types on my iPod.

Isabella (Reviews Editor) I play piano and violin. In the past, I have also played the Tabla drums and trombone.

Gen (Sci-Tech Columnist) Music runs through both sides of my family. And like my dad and grandfather I play piano, drums and a bit of bass. The drums landed me a minor role in a movie as part of a girls band in Funkytown coming out December 17th here in Canada.

Celine Tien, (Contributing Writer) I play the Alto Saxophone and I’d like to flatter myself and think I’m a tap drummer!
