Q. Describe an enjoyable vacation or trip you have taken.

Allison Stein, Editor-in-Chief and Poetry Editor: Last summer, my family planned a week-long fishing trip. The opportunity to slow down and truly appreciate each moment reminded me to savor every single day. Memories made during that vacation changed my perspective and allowed me to enjoy life anew.

Ryan Traynor, Editorial Advisor and Past Editor-in-Chief: Although my family has taken many vacations to fantastic countries, my favorite vacation was when we went to a family camp in the mountains where there were activities both for me with my family and me with other kids my age. The beautiful outdoors made us feel more connected together while we spent time doing things without electronics. We had many laughs and deep conversations that I will value my entire life.

Aryaman Sheth, Photography Editor: Italy- I enjoyed Italy for various reasons, the rich culture and heritage as well as the lip smacking food and unique and picturesque cities and towns. Venice , Capri and Florence are my favourite places in Italy: I enjoyed Italy for various reasons—the rich culture and heritage as well as the lip-smacking food and unique and picturesque cities and towns. Davi Jacobs, Contributing Writer: I just got back from Bethany Beach after staying there for a week. We got ice cream three days straight at the boardwalk. Another week would be nice at the beach.

Fatima Yousuf, Money Smarts Editor and Contributing Writer: This summer, I traveled to Israel with my family to visit all the religious Islamic sites and to learn more about the significance of the area to Jews, Christians, and Muslims alike. We even had the opportunity to have dinner with my Christian Palestinian friend and her Jewish Israeli neighbor. Thinking about how a Muslim, Jewish, and Christian family were all willing to put aside their differences and have dinner together genuinely sparked my worldview and gave me hope ancient feuds truly could end. This summer renewed a sense of optimism in me that I hope to share with the rest of the world, whether it be through my writing at Amazing Kids! or simply by having dinner with others!

Ashley Lin, Nonfiction Editor and Adult Spotlight Interviewer: The most enjoyable trip I have taken was actually this past week at Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)’s National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California. Stepping into the opening center in the Anaheim Convention Center—the bright lights, the blaring music, the grand stage, the 13,000 students networking—I was in awe. From competing to networking to trading pins to the great city, I can say this week was one of the most opportunity-filled experiences of my life. I was inspired by so many people to take the extra step, leave a legacy of leadership, and elevate my future; I know I will strive to carry on these messages in everything I do.

Jordan Brunk, Amazing Kids from History Editor and Contributing Writer: One enjoyable vacation I have taken is to Colorado to ski. I love going up in the mountains, going down slopes, and spending time with my family.
