Q. What activity, experience, or memory does the fall season remind you of?

Allison Stein, Editor-in-Chief and Poetry Editor: When I was younger, I remember watching with anticipation as leaves of auburn, gold, and burnt sienna fell to the ground. To this day, memories of making leaf piles with my sister bring me joy as I reminisce our laughter. Although those kinds of moments may seem small at the time, they make up the most important part of life.

Davi Jacobs, Contributing Writer: Fall reminds me of pumpkin picking.

Aryaman Sheth, Photography Editor: Well, for us in India, it starts the Festival of Lights and Colors—a time to enjoy and spend time with family. Plus, it is an opportunity to click more pictures.

Fatima Yousuf, Money Smarts Editor and Contributing Writer: Fall is undoubtedly a beautiful season. The leaves turn crisp red and fall in beautiful patterns along the ground. As the seasons change, I am reminded of taking walks with my family around my neighborhood as a child. I remember jumping on leaves to hear that satisfying crunch. I remember feeling the wind blow gently across my face while my parents would swing me around. I remember looking at the sun shine through the leaves, the rays creating beautiful designs on the floor. Overall, fall holds many precious memories for me, and this season, I look forward to making many more with my friends and family.

Albert Zhang, Contributing Writer: Fall season brings fragrances of difficulties, both past and current. The current process to apply to colleges…a sick family member four years ago. Fall reminds us that winter is coming and spring will be anew.

Stella Prince, Nonfiction, AK Adventures, and Global Village Editor: When I was five years old and in kindergarten, I fondly remember going to school on Halloween and helping my teacher make delicious apple cider. We had a fun fall party with doughnuts and fall treats, and it was so much fun. Fall has always been my favorite season, and I think I’ll enjoy it for the rest of my life!

Jordan Brunk, Amazing Kids from History Editor and Contributing Writer: The fall season always reminds me of the activity I am involved in: colorguard. I love the fall season because I get to spin flag and rifle with my friends and the marching band.

Sophia Vahanvaty, Fiction Editor: To me, fall is crisp mornings and butternut squash soup, two of my favorite things!
