My Sister Amanda

By Joshua Willenberg

It only takes one person to make an impact; Someone can change your life drastically. For me, my big sister Amanda did this. I say big sister, she isn’t really related to me, but I still call her my big sister. She is always there when I need someone to talk to. She is the nicest person I know, and she is super understanding. She is the best big sister ever.

She has dark brown hair, usually long. She has hazel eyes, and a big smile. She wears glasses and is always happy. She always stays positive, which is very nice because I can’t be around people who are always negative.

One time, I was feeling really down and she texted me to see how everything was going. I told her I was upset and she instantly tried to make me feel better. She told me, “Josh I want you to know just how special you are! You are one of my greatest supporters I have in my life. You always always want to see me happy. I can’t express enough just how much that means to me.” She instantly made me feel better. She does that all of the time.

One of my favorite memories that I have with her, is the time we got ice cream after work. We both closed, and we were both really hungry. The cooks already shut off their ovens. We decided to go get ice cream after work. So we finished closing and then went to Fritzes. It was a warm summer night, and there was a small breeze. We ate our ice cream and talked until one in the morning. Then we went home.

She is one of my favorite people on this planet. I don’t know what I would do without her. She keeps me positive and happy. My big sister has helped me through so many rough times, and we’ve created so many memories together. I can’t wait till she comes back from college.
